Kreativität und Handwerk begleiten mich seit meiner Kindheit. Metall, Holz, Lehm, Farben, Stoffe. Das Spüren der Natur und ein natürlicher Ausdruck der eigenen Person durch Tanz und Theater haben mich geprägt. 

 

Studieninhalte der Kommunikationswissenschaften und die Ausbildung zur Fotografin in einem kleinen Atelier für Portraits richteten meinen Fokus auf Text und Bild.

Die Inszenierung, das spontane Erfassen des Moments oder die sich frei entfaltende Motivgestaltung faszinieren mich gleichermaßen. Im Zentrum der Idee stets der Mensch und der ihn umgebende - oder durch ihn gestaltete - Raum.

 

Mit meiner Ausbildung zur Make-up Artistin & Hair Stylistin war ich mitten im Geschehen. Zunächst ganz klassisch in der Maske am Theater, heute an Sets für Foto- und Filmaufnahmen. 

 

Über die anfängliche Portraitierung von Künstlern entwickelte sich zunehmend eine Symbiose aus der Gestaltung am Menschen und der Visualisierung durch die Kamera hin zu einer differenzierten, konzeptionellen Arbeitsweise aus Bild und Text, die stets Raum für die Abbildung der Spontanität des Unerwarteten lässt und sowohl analoge, als auch digitale Bildgebung umfasst.

 

Mein Stil ist schlicht und wild. Die großen Meister inspirieren mich, wie die fast unscheinbaren Dinge des Alltags. Stöbern. Blättern. Innehalten. Jede Produktion ist einzigartig und bedarf individuellen Feingefühls in ihrer Vorbereitung und Umsetzung.

Creativity and handicrafts have been an important part of my life since childhood. Metal, wood, clay, paints, fabric. I have been shaped by an appreciation of the power of nature and natural self-expression through dance and theatre.

 

The content of a communication studies course and an apprenticeship to qualify as a photographer in a small portrait studio all directed my focus towards text and the visual image.

I find setting scenes, spontaneously capturing the moment and allowing the staging of the subject to freely unfold all equally captivating. But always with the focus of the idea remaining on the people and the space around - or shaped by - them.

 

A further course, to qualify as a make-up artist and hair stylist, meant I was always right at the heart of the action. Initially in the classic sense, in the theatre’s make-up room, and now on sets for photo and film shoots.

 

Through creating portraits of the performers, a symbiosis developed between styling the subject and their visualization by the camera, progressing towards a differentiated, conceptual approach of taking pictures and writing, that always allows space for capturing the spontaneity of the unexpected, encompassing both analog and digital image creation.

 

My style is simple, yet wild. I take my inspiration from the great masters, but also from the almost inconspicuous things in everyday life. Browsing, scrolling, pausing for a moment. Every production is unique, requiring an individual, sensitive approach to its preparation and realization.
