A photographic approach

Sich annähern, den Standpunkt finden, verschieben und verlieren. Spuren hinterlassen, Abdrücke im Raum. Eine Momentaufnahme. Ein Unikat, fehlerhaft und träumerisch – der Zeit entrückt. Dem Hauptlicht folgend, detailliert und inszeniert, festgehalten mit fünfzig Millionen Pixeln. Glatt und glänzend, kantig und schroff. Vergrößerbar bis zur Unkenntlichkeit, zur Auflösung, zum Ideal.

Meistens werden Teile des Ganzen dargestellt, wie bei dieser Keramik aus der Serie ‚Zeitschaum‘. Approaching, finding a vantage point, shifting it and losing it. Leaving traces, imprints in space. A snapshot. A unique piece, flawed and dreamy – removed from time. Following the key light, detailed and staged, captured with 50 million pixels. Smooth and shiny, angular and rugged. Enlargeable to the point of unrecognisability, to resolution, to the ideal.

‘My work deals with fragments, fragments of memory, of the present and also fragments of the future. Mostly, parts of the whole are depicted, as with this ceramic piece from the series “Zeitschaum” (“Foam of Time”).
